Sony SIX is an Indian pay television sports channel. It is owned and operated by Sony Pictures Networks India. The Sony SIX channel broadcasts sports events.



History[edit]


Sony SIX was launched in April 2012 by Sony Networks India, which also owns Sony Entertainment Television and SET Max. This channel is part of Sony Pictures Sports Network, all of which are owned by Sony Corporation.

Sony Six is aimed at the youth segment and primarily airs cricket tournaments.[1] It was launched on 7 April 2012 and is the 14th sports channel in India. It also broadcasts original programs such as NBA Slam.[2] Sony SIX Corner changed from Right-Up to Left-Up on 31 January 2021. It launched an HD channel on 4 February 2021 after the match of Team Abu Dhabi vs Bangla Tigers in Abu Dhabi T10 League 2020.

It also broadcasts football, cricket, professional wrestling, mixed martial arts, rugby union, basketball, soccer and badminton.
